  Nothing changes for anyone reading a post. The bump job now signs the commit
  it makes after a release, so the pull request that moves the working version
  on can be merged into a main that requires signed commits — which is what the
  1.3.0 release could not do, and why the tree is a version behind.

  It signs with a dedicated release-bot key the instance trusts directly rather
  than the key the server signs merge commits with, which no runner can reach.
